Run the Veterans’ Day 10K in Washington D.C. on November 11th to raise money to help working mothers by supporting First Shift Justice Project!


  • Event Details: The Veterans’ Day 10K is on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 8 a.m., starting and finishing at West Potomac Park, Washington D.C. There is also a 2-Mile Tidal Basin Fun Walk that begins at 8:15 a.m.!

  •  Fee: The 10K race fee is $35 (before 10/19), paid to Pacers Running at the time of registration for the race. The fee for the 2-Mile Tidal Basin Walk is $20.

  •  Goal: There is no minimum fundraising commitment. Our collective goal is $10,000. Last year, First Shift raised $7500! 

How do I sign up? Here’s how you do it!

  •  Sign up for the race! The race is on Sunday, November 11th, starting at West Potomac Park at 8 a.m. When you register, select “Join existing team.” Our team name is First Shift Justice Project!

  •  Join our fundraising team on Crowdrise! Go to the fundraising page and click “Join Campaign”! If you are starting a new team or fundraising as an individual, click “Create Your Own Team.” (If you are fundraising as an individual, use your name as the team name.)

    Note: If you are joining an existing team, scroll down to the Leaderboard and click on the team icon!


  • Let your family and friends know you are running as a fundraiser and ask them to sponsor you by donating to First Shift Justice Project! In the weeks before the race, we will send you email templates and other information to help you fundraise.


Even if you decide not to run, you can DONATE or help us recruit runners! Please spread the word about this event to everyone you know!

Will I get a t-shirt? Heck yes! T-shirts will be available to all team members who raise at least $100.
