Dance Like a Mother

We celebrated mothers and caregivers at the Dance like a Mother fundraising event at Wundergarten on May 20, 2022. In addition, we took this time to thank our donors, board of directors, and the greater community for their financial and sweat equity support of the First Shift Justice Project.

The evening started with great company and empanadas. Then, as the sun was setting, we spent the night dancing and engaging in conversations on the work of the First Shift Justice Project and the importance of supporting working parents and caregivers in the DMV Area. The family-friendly event included bubble makers for the kiddos and refreshing beverages for the parents. There was a bit of competition with some folks highlighting their best dance moves!

Dance Like a Mother is an annual benefit for First Shift Justice Project; our mission is simple. Helping Working Moms fight Discrimination. We look forward to next year’s event and make sure you join us in dancing like a mother.

Thank you to the following donors for helping us make a memorable night of dancing:
